Chair Update
COVID Task Force: We will no longer be doing COVID checks but do ask that people not attend if they have a fever or sore throat. The mask mandate will be removed after the Water Communion. Dawn has asked the choir members to express to her their opinions on whether they need to continue wearing masks.
Youth Con: It was a great success. There were about 60 attendees. Our own Sebastian
Laderman-Jones enjoyed it. A suggestion for improvement is to have someone there when locking up at the end in the role of Building Supervision.
Childcare: Lola has started and is working out well. Reilly DeCardy and Sabastian Laderman-Jones would like to be interns in the Block Room.
One member of the PC will check in on the Block Room once or twice during the following Sundays:
9/18 Martha
9/25 Rob
10/2 Alex
10/9 Joyce
10/16 Alex
10/23 Joyce
10/30 Martha
Cluster Group Update
Alex checked with his many groups and there was no response so he will report at a future meeting.
PC Leadership
Rob cannot be chair because he is on the Board. Alex cannot continue as Chair because there is a term limit of 2 years.
Accordingly, we worked out the following schedule of making the Agenda and Leading the PC Meetings:
September – Alex
October – Rob
November – Martha
December – Joyce
January – Sally
February – Alex
March – Rob
April – Martha
May – Joyce
June – Sally
Planning of Silent Auction Contribution from PC
We decided we would offer a trip to Ana Nuevo to see the Elephant Seals complete with a picnic lunch. For 6 people. We will cover the tickets and provide the picnic lunch.
Planning of the Ice Cream Social Committee Fair (October 2nd 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
We need to contact each of our committee chairs about who will staff their table, to have a one page description of their committee, and an ice cream topping to serve. Sarah Skovlund will once again get the ice cream.
Discussion
Rental Policy and marketing. Rob, Alex and Martha have had a few meetings on this subject and have a price sheet.
Wayside Pulpit
Brian’s idea is that Committees can do the Wayside Pulpit and they should be connected to the monthly theme. Worship Committee did the current one. It cost $44.
Connections will take care of it for November.
Rental Marketing
Ericka Pretel is willing to take a leadership role on this project and Ron Hansman will help. Amy Shaw may also a good source of information as she has a background in this area.
