Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity (IM4HI) is a nonprofit based in Oakland and a key support for UUFRC as a Sanctuary Congregation, bringing people of faith together to defend the humanity of immigrants and the incarcerated. IM4HI facilitates the Peninsula Interfaith Coalition on Immigration (PICII) which we belong to. IM4HI leads vigils and accompanies immigrants through their journeys in the system, finding sponsoring families, setting up accompaniment, bearing witness at the border, and advocating with elected officials. IM4HI Executive Director Reverend Deborah Lee led a UUFRC Worship Service in 2019, and shared the vision and values of welcoming refugees and showing compassion to strangers. With the support of IM4HI, many of us have participated in vigils and rallies, and accompanied immigrants to court hearings to show they have support.

Donations can be made from the Friday before the service through the Tuesday following the service, using PayPal link https://www.uufrc.org/community/giving/ and writing “Share the Plate” in the memo line.
