Course Topics

UU Identity & Values in Action

UU Identity is foundational to the Learning Journey, as we explore and develop how our Unitarian Universalist beliefs help inform who we want to be.  UU Identity includes New to UU classes, UU history, principles and ethics, and exploration of how our values are put forth to create our faith in action.

World Views & Theology

We study world religions, and how we see them through a UU lens, exploring our commonalities and connections. Including, but not limited to:

  1. Abrahamic religions (e.g. Christianity, Judism, Islam)
  2. Eastern religions (e.g. Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism)
  3. Earth-Centered religions (e.g. Native American, Wicca, Paganism)
  4. Degrees of Non-Belief (e.g. Humanism, Atheism, Agnosticism)
  5. Alternative theologies (e.g. Pantheism, Cosmic humanism).

When possible, the Adult Learning Journey will offer adult classes that pair up with the Children’s RE topic rotation of World Religions, to provide resonance in learning within families and the fellowship.

Life Skills & Navigating Transitions

We welcome opportunities to sharpen our skill sets and to promote healthy, compassionate lives. Class include areas such as financial planning, dealing with grief, facing death, parenting, becoming an adult, and more.
