The Social Action Committee will hold an election after the UUFRC Annual Meeting on May 20 to choose 10 organizations to receive a ‘Share the Plate’ collection in the coming year: July 2018 through June 2019.  We will save two collections for the minister.

Before the annual meeting, members of SAC will provide printed ballots with a short description of each organization. During the election, those who have nominated organizations are given one minute to describe what the group does, why they participate, and why members of our congregation should choose their group to receive our offering.

All members and friends of UUFRC may vote for ten organizations. We recommend that you attend the election, listen to the speakers, and then vote. However, if you cannot attend the election, you may request an absentee ballot from our administrator or you can pick up a ballot immediately before the annual meeting and vote then.

If you wish to learn about the nominees before the election, we will provide descriptions of each nominated organization through email and in person on Sunday, May 13.

The top ten vote-getters will each be scheduled for a Sunday next year. The two organizations receiving the smallest number of votes will be scheduled during the upcoming summer months.
