Women & Religion
Members of our community are active in this related local UU organization. It is a great way to connect with other women from around the Pacific Central District of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
Mission Statement: Unitarian Universalist Women & Religion is dedicated to freeing ourselves, others, and the Earth from traditional, historical, and contemporary oppressive and patriarchal systems. We continue to work together to implement the 1977 UUA Women & Religion Resolution, which calls us to examine and put aside sexist assumptions, attitudes, and language. We extend that work by learning anti-oppressive attitudes, languages, and behaviors.
Vision Statement: Women & Religion nurtures and empowers women to share wisdom and responsibility for our lives, our denomination and our world. As we hear and appreciate each others’ truths, we grow in love and laughter, spirituality and joy. We remember our foremothers and tell our stories. We are dedicated to the liberation of all persons from attitudes of domination and subordination. We will be visible. We will be heard. We will make a difference.
We have a wonderful retreat each spring – check here for details on the next one!

Spiritual Autobiography Writing Groups
These covenanted writing groups meet monthly at members’ homes to share written reflections on topics of the members’ choosing. The groups are ongoing. There are two ways to join a spiritual autobiography writing group: you can attend a 4-week class offered annually at UUFRC from which a new group is formed, or you can join an existing group that has openings.
