Worship Committee

Meetings: Second Wednesday of the month, 7pm. Please check calendar to confirm, as exceptions occasionally occur.
Description: Assist in preparing and delivering the Sunday services. This includes seeking volunteers to light the chalice at the beginning of each Sunday service. It is an honor to participate in this way. See this document for more details. While doing online services, there are additional volunteer opportunities that don’t require committee membership or speaking in the service: each service needs someone to record the service in Zoom, and we also need the role of “online chat host” – the person who lets everyone into the service, and answers questions where needed.

Music Committee

Meetings: Third Thursday of the month, 6:30 pm, as needed. Please check with Dawn to find out when the next meeting is scheduled.
Description: Help Music Director to plan and carry out musical offerings at services and plan special concerts.

Choir

Meets: Thursdays 7:30-9:00pm, August-June

Audio-Visual Team

Contact: Josh Moore
Description: Prepare and run the slides shown during service. Assist with other AV projects as needed.

Sound Team

Contact: John Cooney or Greg Stovall or join the email group
Description: For Zoom services, coordinating quality sound experience for participants by muting and un-muting speakers as needed. For in-sanctuary services, set up microphones, and monitor sound levels during the service using the sound board, record the sermons, and put away microphones/cables after the service.

Sunday Greeters Team

Description: Each Sunday we have two Greeters to welcome people, hand out the Orders of Service and collect the Sunday offering. This is a great way to begin to meet people and put names and faces together.

2nd Sunday Band

Contact: Marianna Raymond, Second Sunday Music Coordinator
Description: Play amazing music during service on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Performers often rotate months, get in touch to learn more. View Music and Choir page.

Ministry of Culinary Arts (MOCA)

Description: Organizes and prepares refreshments for our Social Hour following each Sunday service.

Center of Interest Team

Description: Display of visual art in the Sanctuary created on a monthly basis by volunteers from the congregation.
