Spiritual Growth

In a Unitarian Universalist context spiritual growth is recognized as a universal yearning as well as something deeply personal.  There is no “recipe” for spiritual growth here because Unitarian Universalism affirms that every individual’s journey is unique.  Our 3rd Principle calls us accept and encourage one another on that journey. And so we bring deep, respectful curiosity and trust to one another – recognizing each other as sources of inspiration and strength.

The Sunday worship services are carefully and thoughtfully designed to foster personal connection with spiritual yearning and with sources of spiritual strength, with ethical values, and with real-world opportunities for moral courage.

The many activities and events planned after the worship service and throughout the week are similarly focused on nurturing compassion and joy, spiritual strength and hope – expressed through acts of service, big and small.  Many of them came about as a result of one or more people identifying that these activities would be meaningful to them, and joining together to make them happen!

Members seeking to explore spiritual resources or to consider new opportunities for spiritual growth at UUFRC are encouraged to set up an appointment with our Minister.
